Photoshop printscreen

These print screens show me working on the image of Harriet. Here I am cutting out her body so that I can create collages with it and place it onto different backgrounds. I cut out her body by adding a layer mask to the image then simply using the eraser tool to rub away the background and the outline.

This is an image of my best friend Harriet that I took of her. I like the way that her body looks here so I am going to manipulate this image in photoshop and experiment with it and create different collages.

contact sheet

this is a contact sheet of more photographs that I took of Harri around the goonhavern area. Thid day was sunnier and nicer. I did this shoot because I wanted more images of Harri naked in nature and with trees. I also like her hair colour in these images. She dyed her hair ginger, whereas it was brown in the previous images that I took of her.

artist research - Molly Bosley

I am really inspired by these collages. I would like to create my own collages in this style, but by using my own images that I have taken.

Molly Bosley has created these collages by using found images. She roots around dust binds and yard sales to find old, thrown away images. She likes to show that she has handled her artwork and has only used hand rendered techniques. She constructs depictions of memories that never happenened.

Martin O'neill - artist research

I love the artists use of scrap paper. I love using scrap paper in collages and art. I think that it's a great way to recycle and I love the simplicity of it. Aged, old papers also have a great look and feel to them.

I like the grain and noise in this image. This image only uses the simple colours of black and white.

I like the use of cut out birds in this image. I love birds. i would like to use cut out animals in my own work. I also like the way the artist has put different images of the same colouring together to create a picture. I would like to use this method also.

I like the use of different papers in this image. I love working with paper.

I am really inspired by this artists art work. I am especially inspired by his use of circles in his collages. I really like the way they look. I would like to use circles in my own art work.
